Endowment Fund Donation

Recently, Hospice of the Fisher Home received a significant donation. The donor made clear that the funds should be used in a way that will help ensure the Hospice’s future ability to provide quality end-of- life services to all persons in the community. This generous donation led the Board of Directors to establish a Board-Designated Endowment Fund that can grow through additional donations and prudent management.

The Board is committed to maintaining this Endowment Fund as it has been established. However, because it is a Board-designated fund, the Board legally retains the authority to revise or discontinue that designation, subject to its fiduciary duties under Massachusetts law. The Fund, overseen by the Board's Finance committee, will be invested and managed according to legal requirements and internal investment and spending policies. As we celebrate the 20th Anniversary of Hospice of the Fisher Home, the Board and staff are grateful to the anonymous donor for initiating this tangible commitment to the organization's long-term sustainability.
